Advance Employment

What is it? Advance Employment is a supported employment service and is for anyone living in Darlington who has a disability.
What do they do? They help people who need some support to stay in or find paid work. They provide Job Coaches who might go with someone when they start work to help them until they are trained and confident in the job.
How do they do this? By looking at what each person is interested in, what they can do, what they are good at and what they would like to do with you and the people that are close to you, they will help you in finding a job you want and can do.
What happens when a job has been found? A member of staff from Advance Employment will work alongside you to give you support, advice and training. They will only leave you to work on your own when you are comfortable and able to do the job yourself. Through close contact with the Benefits Agency, we will make sure you do not lose money if you get a job.
