The Grange

The Grange is on Victoria Road and is part of Grange Road Baptist Church. It is one of the day opportunities people in the Learning Disability Service can go to.

One of the people who goes there tells us about it.

I am Steven Holden and I attend The Grange three days a week.

I first started coming here when Beck House closed in 2008. I was very quiet and didn't do much.

Since I started coming here I have made lots of new friends. Myself and two others are nicknamed "The Three Musketeers!".

I have improved my speech and am much more confident than I was before.

I do lots of activities at the Grange and elsewhere. I help in the kitchen making cakes, go on health walks, go swimming and go to a coffee morning every Friday. 

We also go on lots of day trips.

Recently we went to Diggerland which was great fun!

I really enjoy coming to the Grange every week and seeing all my friends.
