Advocacy - help for you to say what you want

This is a service which can offer help to people with a disability and their carers.

Staff at Darlington Association on Disability can support you to talk to people about what concerns you.

Advocacy

They can include:

  • helping you with meetings and appointments such as a when you visit Adult Social Care, a doctor, bank, solicitor and others.
  • helping you with problems you can't solve yourself.
Meeting

They can also:

  • help you write your concerns down.
Book
  • provide information, help and support to make sure you get the most from the services you use.
Information
  • assist in investigating complaints and support you and your carers to attend meetings.
