Paying for Support

When we work out what everyone has to pay for their support, we will make sure that everyone is treated fairly.

To work out what you might have to pay, the Council will carry out a financial assessment. This means we look at what you might have to pay towards your support.

There are some things we ask people to pay for. These can include:

• Day Services
  (not including rehabilitation, training, employment or drop-in)
• Care at home
• Direct Payments

There are some things we do not ask people to pay for. These can include:

• Your care assessment. This is when we work with you to see what services you need
• Information and advice

If it is decided that you need support from Adult Social Care, someone from the Finance Team at the Council will come to visit you and carry out a financial assessment.
