Reablement
Reablement is about giving people the chance to relearn and regain some of the skills they may have lost because of their disability or because they may have been in hospital.
Reablement aims to:
- Help people to stay in their own homes
- Improve independence and safety in all areas of daily living, such as making a meal, or getting dressed.
- Improve quality of life
The service can last for up to six weeks and is free of charge while you are using it.
We will check how you are doing during the six weeks. You may not need the service for long if you make good progress. It can also be made longer than six weeks if it is felt you would benefit more from it.
